Pacific DBMS commenced operation in 1998, after Kevin Crowley left Oracle Consulting Services. For eight years he worked independently occasionally calling in support from a network of associates when he was unable to keep up with all the opportunities.

In 2005 the company started expanding with Kris Downey coming on board. This commenced a growth plan which today sees a steadily growing group of consultants. This has enabled Pacific DBMS to take on, not only a larger volume of work, but also a wider range of job types.
